Who we are and why we care

If you have found this blog, you are likely wondering who is behind EQUIPmvmt and why we started it. Let me begin by introducing myself and my husband, we're Tim & Mindy. Parents to 6 (+1)and Mimi (mim-ee) & Paw-paw to 1. We were both born and raised in the Pacific NW and raised by Jesus-loving parents. We met in Bible college to be missionaries and have done many short-term missions all over the globe.
After 10 years of living in the beautiful small town of Snohomish, WA, in a home that we believed we'd grow old in, God told us that we were going to move to South Carolina. Mind you, we were not looking to move. We owned our home, a store, had a wonderful church family and most of our extended family lived within 3hrs. We had no reason to uproot it all and move.
But God... On April 6th, 2022 I had an out loud conversation with God about this thing He was asking of us. I told Him that we had never been there, had never even seen it and all of our life was here (Snohomish). He promptly answered, "How do you think Abraham felt?". I replied with, "Well...I guess you do this to people, don't you?" I looked at my husband and he said, "I think we're moving to South Carolina." I also, semi-negotiating with God, reminded him how wonderful our church was and how on fire it was and we were really enjoying the revival that was burning there. The Lord then said, "But, those fires have to spread and you must take them to the South." That started the crazy whirlwind of prepping my employees and store to function with me across the country, all the packing and prep for selling the home, and getting our kids ready to actually go to this land that we had never even seen. We asked the Lord for direction and He answered. We flew out of WA on May 1st. While in SC we had God moment after God moment. We then made an offer on a property that was accepted and we flew back to WA to get our things and move to the complete opposite side of the country. I drove out of WA with my kids and our things on May 31st, 2022. Our house sold on June 3rd for the full asking price in less than 24hrs, this was a complete miracle.
There are a lot of things that happened in the next 3 months but, I'll condense it this way. The 1st property did not work out. God gave us a way better one in Anderson, SC as well as 6 families we knew in WA have also moved within 30 minutes of us here in SC and more are on the way. God is on the move.
We had been praying, fasting, and seeking the Lord as to what His purpose for us in SC was. We feel like missionaries in our own country, which is odd but, true. We have a very different perspective on the last 3 years than most around us. We were in the most locked-down state of the nation with some restrictions only lifting in the last 3 months.
After nearly a year in SC, the Lord spoke again and showed us what we were to do.
We are to GATHER fellow believers, INFORM them of our (their) fight, EQUIP them with needed tools and weapons, and SEND them out to stand with purpose and gather more for this mission. We are accomplishing this by launching EQUIPmvmt. We will share information, hold rallies, encourage participation in local and national events and act as the body of Christ and true Jesus followers. We will not be silent, we will not sit down and let the enemy win. We will Pray, fast, and stand for our children, nation, and families.
As we have all seen over the last 3 years there has been a huge shift in our nations and culture that has been devastating. The family is under fierce attack and the West Coast (or Left Coast as those here in the South call it) is the leader in tearing down the very fabric of our nation; God and family.
While in Snohomish, we watched our formerly conservative town turn liberal and woke in a single election. The move against family, religious, or personal rights happening in WA is horrible. The rights of parents are being stripped right before our eyes. We can clearly see all of this when out from under it. While in it, you feel like you are in a haze. It's very odd.
One of the things we love about being here in South Carolina is the purity that we never really experienced in the PNW. People here love their country, God, and each other. This is worth fighting for and preserving. We see the writing on the wall. The people of the South have to know that if they do not stand up and fight to keep our children safe and families intact the dark powers that rule the Left Coast will sneak their way into here as well. Those of us that have come out of that deep darkness can't keep silent and let the same thing happen here. Like in the book of Nehemiah, we must build with one hand and fight with the other.
They are coming for our kids. They have made their intentions clear and we can't let them destroy our families, freedom, and future. There is hope. We can win this battle for not only the South but for the soul of our nation and future generations.
This is our Esther moment. This is when we must stand and say like Esther did "If we die, we die." We will do everything we can to bring the people of South Carolina and America together, partnering with many other amazing organizations around America to make a stand in DC next fall, right before the election. We are not doing this alone. Where one can put a thousand to flight, 2 can put 10,000. We need all of us to stand as one voice, one church, and tell the enemy #DONTMESSWITHOURKIDS
